My name is Terrence Brummell. I am a licensed Social Studies teacher, grades 7-12.In my practice of education as a professional teacher I opted to inculcate in my students the compulsion to function at the literate level, with particular attention to comprehension, meta-cognition, critical analysis, coordinating writing projects: prose, journals and engaging in interviews.
My desire is to reinforce this practice. I therefore anticipate a career at your school.
I am a graduate of the Cyril Potter Teachers´ Training College in Guyana, and a holder of a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree in Public Communication from the University of Guyana. I have three years teaching experience at the middle school in this country, and have taught at the elementary levels in the Bahamas and at both the secondary and elementary levels in Guyana.
My completing of a Master’s of Science in Literacy, Birth-12 at Touro College in July 24th, 2007, in such courses as Educational Technology and Diagnostic Literacy have given me exposure to special education pre-requisites which would equip me to organize a resource unit and develop approaches to teach students at both the general education and the special education.
Besides, I am Spanish Literate.
