I am looking for summer work in Bulgaria. What type of job are you looking for? I enjoy learning new skills and quickly adapt to new environments, so I am happy to try my hand in any area of work. I currently have experience in bar work, waitressing and deli work, florist and garden work, cleaning and lastly retail. What nationality are you? Irish. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English is my mother tongue. I have leaving certificate French and Irish. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking to work in Sofia, Bulgaria, preferably but I am happy to travel and see more of Bulgaria. My reason for travelling to Bulgaria is to attend college in the Art Academy, Sofia, as an exchange student from February to the end of May. Being able to stay after the college year is finished would be brilliant so that i could enjoy more time in the country. What countries have you worked in? Ireland is the only country i have worked in to date. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I have no visa. What field do you currently work in? I am an Art and Design student. Leaving Certificate 2006 Primary Course of Food and Hygiene 2004 Computer Studies 2004 – 2005 Junior Certificate 2003 Resuscitation 1 and 2 1999 Describe the benefits of working with others When you're working on a team with others, you can encourage one another, develope a bond, learn how to depend on each other and learn the art of cooperation. Other people also have other ways of doing things, and you can learn from their ways. Describe the benefits of working alone As the old saying goes "If you want something done right do it Your self!". How ever, I would have to say that I enjoy the company of others while I work. What was your worst working experience? My worst working conditions were in my first florist job. I often had to work in the room on the top floor and with out proper ventilation available, working with the fake flowers was not very enjoyable. It was a very claustrophobic experience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? It is necessary to keep working hard no matter if the job is difficult. A challenge helps build you as a person, making you stonger. What unique skills do you have? The ability is listen and hear both sides of a disagreement before passing judgement. the ability to help others develop and grow, the ability to create harmony in difficult situations and the ability to know how to motivate others. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? One where I get along with my co-workers and boss. When getting up every morning and LOVE going to work! What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Watching those younger than me use what I have learnt them and their own initiative to succeed in their own life. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? To be honest I can't think of any. This maybe because I haven't come across any as yet and hope that I never will.
