Formal education or skills and why? I think a combination is essential. Skills are often more valuable in a day to day environment, and a confidence in ones own is essential but the commitment needed to gain a degree shows a certain quality, and it often signifies a level of intelligence. Describe the benefits of working with others If the team works well much more can be achieved and a variety of angles and ideas can lead to a better result. It is important to always be open to the ideas and comments of others in order to better ones own performance. Describe the benefits of working alone In a accounting environment it is often easier to stay on top of the information you are gathering and working alone avoids any of the clashes of character which can occur within groups. What was your worst working experience? In a restaurant in South London, a family run organization, the whole set up was messy and unfocused. People were unsure what there roles were and this lead to a lot of friction between some of the senior waiters. It was unpleasant to work in such an environment. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Even if you do not agree with everything your boss says, or his/her methods, fighting against them does not achieve anything, it is more beneficial to work together and perhaps discuss the issues calmly later on. What unique skills do you have? I am creative, in both my style and problem solving methods. And I am open to many others. I am extremely outgoing and can analyse the situation quickly so as to respond in the appropriate manner. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To be part of a successful business, utilizing knowledge of different cultures and interests to be part of a company which pleases people from all different walks of life. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The meeting of people, interacting with them and learning from them What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The necessary repetitive tasks. How much commitment can you give to a post? My visa is for three months, although there are ways of extending this if I find a position I am passionate about. I am travelling from the UK to California because I want to explore the country, I love to travel, I have worked all over the world.
