Agricultural jobsWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for jobs related with crop production and protection. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak ,write,and read three languages. English,Bulgarian and Amharic(Ethiopian official language). What State are you looking to work in and why? Really, I do not have location choice as long as I get the job. What field do you currently work in? for the last six month I was working in the California Department of Food and Agriculture,Sacrament as an Agricultural Aide. and I will expect this job will start again in the spring. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as a Plant Protection Specialist in the Plant Health Clinic's sustem and Pestiucide Registration and Control Specialist position in the Ethiopia Ministry of Agriculture, Addis ababa. What qualifications do you hold? I am a holder of an M,Sc., degree in Agriculture. I graduated from the Higher Agricultural Institute - Plovdiv / Bulgaria in 1989. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I can not separate one from the other. Education is basic to understand every thing reasonably and wisely,skills are hands-on techniques to perform jobs easily. Describe the benefits of working with others In todays world, every activity in the manufacturing,service,transport,health etc.. industries is dependent on others. In order our business to be suceesful,we have to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere in a coordinated manner. Unity is power. Describe the benefits of working alone You are your own boss and you are working in your own pace. What was your worst working experience? I have not faced such a kind of experience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Practicing what you learn in your class room in to practice. The way I think professionally,chganging ideas in to practice through project formulation process,the way how to plan , organize,follow-up and execute,evaluate jobs. Different behaviors of people and how to handle it. Defining the problem,how to analyse the situation and finding possible solution of problems encountered. What unique skills do you have? working with people with different beheaviors and belivers. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To be a successful Project Manager. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Agriculture is one of the most fascinating field of profession.The Ag industry is the only industry who produce a variety of foods for the whole world of population. It needs special attention and good policies to utilize it wisely the resources nature provide us. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
