Ayurveda doctorWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for ayurvedic job- panchkarma/ research in herbs/consulation/ayurveda cooking. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? english- good, fluent What State are you looking to work in and why? California mainly as it is main hub of ayurveda. What field do you currently work in? practising ayurveda/consultation/panchkarma What fields have you worked in before? have done thesis/research work in a herb- indian hennna, panchkarma-snehan, swedan, basti/ indoor n outdoor patient. preparing ayurvedic churna, chyawanprash, shatavarikalp etc. ie pharmacy oriented work. What qualifications do you hold? I have completed my B.A.M.S. from pune, india. in 2007. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I would say that formal training is important so as to understand the basics of ayurveda written in sanskrit 5000yrs ago, to understand the actual working principle, the tridoshas, saptadhatu,trimalas. At the same time while gaining education , practical training is mandatory to implement the knowledge and healing the sick .So both are important and have there own importance. Describe the benefits of working with others According to me working with others(jr&sr)helps one to learn a subject better, discuss on a case with various angles,achieving diffferent ideas, also makes one competitive with oneself and adjusting at the sametime, thus reaching new goals. Describe the benefits of working alone well, working alone is beneficial when consulting a patient, treating a patient. As in ayurveda every person is having unique constituion which makes him different from his family member/freind. In that case treatment is tailormade hence working alone is helpful. What was your worst working experience? Well, as such worst experience is yet to come. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? One important thing i have learnt is to try and to your best , treat the patient , relief his pain. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? research in ayurveda What are the most interesting aspects of your field? it is ancient but evergreen, it is vast , its purity , natures true gift. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? i find no aspect that makes ayurveda uninteresting in any way |
