Childcare Giver/Secretary/Personal AssistantWhat type of job are you looking for? Preferably Childcare, however, I am open to job offers for a Secretary and/or Assistant. What nationality are you? I am a Jamaican. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English. Speak fluently. Spanish. Beginners What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Country of choice for work would be Jamaica. However, I am open to work in other countries, to meet new and interesting people and learn about their cultures. United Kingdom, Cayman Island, New Zealand, Canada and Australia. What countries have you worked in? Jamaica. What countries do you have a visa to work in? Currently, none, but I hope that will change soon. If there is someone willing to offer a job with sponsorship. What field do you currently work in? I am currently unemployed. What fields have you worked in before? Childcare have been a passion of mine since i was a young girl. I have worked in the banking industry as a Teller/Office Typist and the Tourism Industry with company that manages Dunn's River Falls and Park, where I held several position the last being the Executive Secretary to the General Manager. What qualifications do you hold? I became qualified as a Certified Professional Secretary when I was given the opportunity to work as an Executive Secretary. While I was employed in banking I received my diploma in Child Daycare Management, through a correspondence school in the U.S.A. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills in my opinion would be considered more valuable, as there is always a demand for skilled labour. Formal education is important, however, one tend not to think outside the box when seeking a job. Job seekers holding high degree levels, most times do not consider entry level positions to get a foot in the door; so to speak. Often times they are not very good team players which not beneficial to any organization. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others; :-enables one to hear and interpret other peoples views. :-gain respect for self and others. :-share and be unselfish. :-share task. :-faster and efficient solutions to problems. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone: :-being able to multi-task. :-by doing the job yourself, you ensure it's done properly. What was your worst working experience? When I was forced to resign my job, because receiving a transfer to another location in the company was not forthcoming. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? After being exposed to different aspects of the working world, I can honestly say that flexibility on the job will get you a promotion any time. What unique skills do you have? I am able to multi-task. Working with my hands. E.g. Crafts, love cooking. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working on a cruise ship. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspect is meeting people from different cultural backgrounds. What are my chances of being employed?
