| climate change and genderIt is time we start looking critically the close relationship between climate change and Gender. Here in Bamenda Cameroon, Climate change is mostly felt by Women, girl child, the old and the sick. This is so for the following reasons, - Women and the girl children are mostly responsible for productive actively firework and water fetching, food preparation, farming, and are most vulnerable to illnesses. It is time Development and Environment orientate NGOs start focusing more on such aspects rather than the general issues relating to Climate change. The debate is open. |
