Bartending/Serving JobWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for a fast paced bartending or serving job. What nationality are you? Canadian What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English, some french. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I really do not have a specific area where I am set on working, I have never worked out of Canada before in my life and have been in the service industry for 4 years. A lot of my co-workers have gone away to work and have had amazing experience. I am envious of there experiences and would like to see everything for myself. What countries have you worked in? Canada What field do you currently work in? Bar Industry. Bartending, Cocktail waitressing. What fields have you worked in before? Nursing and Service industry What qualifications do you hold? High school dipolma Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I do think that formal education is important but learned skills are more useful in the type on industry I would like to work in. I find that you never really know for sure until you are thrown into something and have to figure things out and find your own way of doing things. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is great because you always have a support team. If everyone can rely on each other to do their part of the work and know that it is going to get accomplished everything runs more smoothly. Describe the benefits of working alone I see no benefits in working alone. What was your worst working experience? Actually last night at my bar I had a customer get very forceful with me. It was scary and I think one of my worst experiences I have had so far. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned that team work in this industry is the key to success. What unique skills do you have? I am the best people person you will ever meet. I get along with everyone and I think that is a very important skill. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be a fast paced bartending or serving job in a new exciting country. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Meeting new people every single day of your life. What are some traits in a person that you think are necessary for the service industry? To be successful in this industry you need to be a confident, friendly, outgoing person.
