| Filipino's are viewed with suspicion by natural born Caymanians. They do not understand Filipino culture and see you as inferior, low class people, who are much more stupid than they are. Filipino's unwittingly encourage this thinking by keeping to themselves, and forming their own communities, churches, and leagues. The suspicion of Filipino's continues also because you do not have bank accounts in the Cayman, and you send all your money back to your country. They see you as just using Cayman, but not helping or participating in making it better for everyone who lives there. The current rumour is that you kill all the wild chickens, cats and dogs in Cayman and eat them for food because, you are too poor, cheap, or depraved to go to the grocery store and buy groceries. Another rumour is that Filipino's are lazy and would rather do office work, or some other behind the desk job that involves dealing with money (which also leaves you open to being called thieves), because the are physically incapable of doing anything that requires physical exertion. In other words, you have been branded as a lazy race of people, much like all Caymanians. WELCOME TO CAYMAN |
