I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to formally request consideration for any current or future appointments within your Santiago, Chile operations. I have included a copy of my resume along with this introduction letter and would be pleased to answer any questions you may have by return email.

I am currently employed as the Senior Estimating and Strategic Maintenance Manager for Major Construction Works, for the Queensland State Government, Brisbane, Australia. My position is responsible for a team of 30 Estimators and support staff, who prepare Building cost Estimates and Tenders for Education, Health, Police and Corrective Services. I have personally compiled Bills of Quantities for large School buildings, Hospitals, Universities and Prisons. I have experience in Architecture and Component Engineering, certificates in Industrial and Commercial Building, Interior Design and Furniture Design and have studied extensively in the Principles of Estimating and Quantity Surveying, Production Control and Time Management. I have been involved in projects varying from AU$250,000 to AU$15 Million.

My desire to work and reside in Chile is family related and also from the impression made on the numerous trips I have taken there. My wife is a Chilean National currently living in Chile and recently we have acquired property in Santiago (see address below) and have always decided to one-day return and settle. I speak some Spanish, as well as my native English and feel confident of applying myself professionally in a new environment. I have, in previous positions, sat on the Board of Companies as a Senior Executive and have also held positions within Government Departments that required High Level Administration.

I am hoping for consideration in a Management position, possibly as a contact role within Santiago to English, American or Australasian businesses, in the field of Construction, Manufacturing, Design & Development, Information Technology, Public Service Industry or Associated Government Areas.
