Learning and Development What type of job are you looking for? My expertise is the writing and delivering of cutting-edge training programs for all groups of people within organizations. These would include soft-skills, management and leadership training, customer experience, self development and coaching. Also teach train-the-trainer skills along with public speaking. Therefore I am looking for an opportunity within a consultancy or MNC to continue my decades of work around the world delivering competent material. What nationality are you? Australian - with vast experience in working in many cultures. These include North and South America, Africa, Middle East along with UK. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak and write English fluently at this point in time. My Fiance is Chinese and can teach me Mandarin to help me become even more dynamic in my future work in China. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Wish to work in Asia - either China, Hong Kong or Singpaore. The reasons are to be with my Chinese Fiance as well as a personal desire to work in the Asian Region What countries have you worked in? Australia, England, USA , Canada , Bahrain, Dubai, South Africa are where I ahve lived - and have carried out work in numerous other Countries which would include : Nigeria, Egypt, Pakistan, New Zealand, Kenya, What countries do you have a visa to work in? I can work in Australia and the UK. What field do you currently work in? I work in the field of HR - specifically in learning and development What fields have you worked in before? Along with my career in people development , I have also been in general management and sales management. What qualifications do you hold? I am a Master in Neuro Linguistic Programming ( NLP ) and have a Mini MBA from Rutgers University in New York. What makes you stand out from the crowd of L&D practitioners ? My passion and continual research of the latest technologies within the field of people development. Some would say the helping others develop is what I am here on earth to do. It is my calling. Describe the benefits of working with others All my working life has been in developing others and working with teams - and the joy and satisfaction of seeing others grow is my just reward. Describe the benefits of working alone I need to spend alone time to study, to meditate and to remain centred and grounded. What was the highlight of your working career thus far ? Have had many. Co-ordinating a Mini MBA in New York and working with world class Professors and being given many chances to live and work among different cultures would be stand out achievements. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? We as humans are much more than our thinking, our so-called successes, our material goods and we can only ever live in the now. What unique skills do you have? Handling all types of people either one-to-one or in groups. These skills have been honed over many years with thousands of people What would you consider as your 'dream job'? There is no such thing as a dream job. But am wanting to continue with my 'calling' in Asia. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The current discoveries in brain research and neuroscience are showing us new and improved ways of tapping into man's wonderful abilities. What would you regard as your weaknesses? I realize that administration matters along with certain aspects of using a computer are areas where I am least competent. Have learnt to get around these and thus they have not hindered my career.
