Diploma Socail work Hospital Service Assistant Residentail and Community Care Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe all skills are valuable wether they be in the past and learning new skills as we strive to go ahead. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with other people ,you get the under standing of different back grounds,under standing of different cultures and were they come from,and I believe I work well wit other people and it dosent matter where they come from or where they have been. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone you find out what you are cable of depending on the work place and the enviroment you are also in at the time. What was your worst working experience? When I was Teenager I worked on a cattle station up in the north west of Western Australia and the head stockmen whipped me a coupe of times with a stock whip on my back. I found out when Imleft the cattle station the head stockmen was a bully and eventually he got the sack,but it put me of working on a cattle station. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I have learnt in my career,is dont judge other people,and dont judge other cultures. What unique skills do you have? I have skills working with all types of people from all different back Grounds working in the health care system,I also have worked up north and have got t know the Aboriginal people and there cultures. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is being able to help people and it does not matter where they come from. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Currently I work as a hospital Orderley in a big public hospital,and have had the oppurtunity to work in the emergency department and on the Hospital wards,and the most interesting and rewarding aspect of this Job is being able to help the sick and injured in a different way than the nurses and doctors help the patients. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I have to say helping a nurse when she has to clean up a patient when the patient has lets say had aaccident.
