I'm Aussie, one of the real sons of Australia, born in Sydney to parents of Irish convict stock. I have lived in Timor for the past 8 years and currently live with my princess and wife in her home town of Jambi, Central Sumatra, Indonesia.

English (I am currently an English Teacher at English First Jambi); Tetun (the language of East Timor), bahasa Indonesian (not fluently but working level).

Christmas Island or Cocos Islands are my destiny. Where else can I be close to my beloved Australia and still be able to easily visit my family in Indonesia.

What qualifications do you hold?
Bachelor of Rural Science (Univ of New England, Armidale), Diplomas in Soil management, fruit tree management, Certificates in Food aid management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Planning and TOEFL English teaching.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Skills, experience and common sense allow people to make rational decisions based on the situation at hand. These skills allow a person to be flexible but knowledgeable. Formal education is only about the principles of any topic.

Efficiency of time, accuracy and you alone can say ' a job well done' and know that it is because of the effort you put in.
What was your worst working experience?
As a Project Manager, finding out my finance officer had stolen some money from the organisations safe, prior to my contract starting, and had been successful in hiding the fact for 2 years during my time of responsibility.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
Understand the personality and the culture of the people around you before making decisions and comments on 'the best way' to achieve a particular task objective. planning is all very good but contingency planning and flexibility in planning are more important.
What unique skills do you have?
Iam humble yet stringent, quiet yet strong.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
Farming 1000 hectares of mixed cropping, livestock, plantation & timber in lowland river country within 30 minutes of white sandy beaches with clear blue surf.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
People are always changing, new faces, new challenges, and learning always.
What the least interesting aspects of your field?
Reporting to people who are more interested in their own job satisfaction rather than the overall goal of an organisation.
Why are you looking for a job? What's wrong with your current job?
I need a job where I can use my Australian Citizenship. Currently I am volunteer working under a tourist visa which I can not do anymore after next month.
