Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Both are significant as they compliment each other particulary in nursing as it is both theory & practice based. I believe evidence based research is very inportant in contempery nursing as it guides the way to best practice

Working within a team environment provides a good opportunity to exchange different opinions and ideas. It also provides a multi-skill and multi-diciplinary levelof understanding and care. Working in a team creates a mutually supportive therapeutic environment.

Working alone can be a good opportunity to acheive independant work outcomes and the opportunity to work autonomously using independant skills and ideas.
What was your worst working experience?
Working independantly in a forensic depot clinic , giving an involuntary patint an injection when they reacted in a threatening manner. No significant team support at that time. NOT GOOD!
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
Treat patients with respect and dignity whilst being aware of individual cultural differences.
Be aware of saftey of self and others at all times.
What unique skills do you have?
I enjoy working both independantly and in a multi-disciplinary environment. I am recently nurse educated and extremely committed and ethusiastic about further career and learning opportunities. I also enjoy educating others and sharing experiences.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
Working in mental health and able to use some general nursing skills in remote areas combined with significant breaks at home.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
The patients and further learning experiences both in practice and theory.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
Some days can be less stimulating than others with little change from routine duties.
