What type of job are you looking for?

Hospitality, I have certificates in RSA and coffee making with experience. Teaching English. I have an Arts Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing. Included in my education is Cert III Alcohol and Other Drugs with over 300 hours volunteer work in the industry.

What nationality are you?

British. Australian resident since 1973

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Christmas Island or any detention centres within Australia. I am currently looking for something different and prefer to travel.

What countries have you worked in?

England, South Africa and Australia.

What field do you currently work in?

Driver Education.

What fields have you worked in before?

Alcohol and other drugs, Driver Education, Sales, Hospitality. Administration.

What qualifications do you hold?

Cert III Alohol and other Drugs. Cert III Driver Education. Diploma Arts Professional Writing and Editing. Coffee Making and responsible serving of Alcohol.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills. Life experience is the more valuable educator.

Describe the benefits of working with others

A pro active team environment with a strong work ethic when combined with helping other people is, for me, most rewarding.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Strengthening ones own motivation to achieve his/her goals without depending on others. A rewarding end result being the aim.

What was your worst working experience?

Tele sales.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Being happy with ones vocation and not being motivated by money and money alone. Helping people by passing on my knowledge has been most rewarding.

What unique skills do you have?

Organising people, good communication skills within a broad spectrum of the community. A positive outlook which encourages workmates/clients. Extensive coaching experience in sport at ALL levels from elite athletes to primary school children.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Any work which involves improving peoples lives

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Knowing I have helped someone take 'that next step'

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

None that can think of

Are you prepared to travel

Yes, I am single and looking to expand my horizons.
