Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering 15 years in radio communications systems design and integration; Presale and Postsale phases. Successful experience as Lead Engineer in several multi-million dollar infrastructure projects for government and commercial clients. Multiple recognition awards.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Both equally. Education provides a solid theoretical foudation on which practical solutions are rooted. Hands on skills build on formal education and vice versa.

Diversity in educational/skills background is key in approaching problems. Teamwork allows for learning from one another leading to converging in a solution to any problem whether technical or business in nature.

Working alone provides the environment for focused work and reflection, which is part of team dynamics.
What was your worst working experience?
My worst working experience is one time I was the target of discrimination due to my ethnic background. This was before enrolling in college. I converted that negative experience into motivation and the necessary fuel to later have a very successful academic and professional experience.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
Always listen first then perform in the best interest of my customer(s). Seek win-win outcome.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
Literally, saving and improving lives. My public safety customers and the public highly depend on highly reliable communications via the systems I design and implement.
Technology is rapidly and continuously improving. This significantly impacts the bottom line of our business customers by making their operations more efficient due to the innovative communications solutions provided to them.
What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
Regulation sometimes influence solutions which are not optimal, however it is for the general benefit of all.
