Looking for a position in Medellin - Colombia

What type of job are you looking for?

I'm looking for a position where I could have the opportunity to use my skills as a business administrator and team leader. I'm an easy learner, able to multitask, bilingual (english/spanish) and enjoy working with people.

What nationality are you?

Colombian - American

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Spanish and english both very fluent

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I just moved to Medellin - Colombia with my family and I would like to work in the human resources or banking area, but I'm also open to other opportunities.

What countries have you worked in?

United States

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

United States

What field do you currently work in?

Auto insurance - Senior supervisor in a call center

What fields have you worked in before?

I've worked as a general manager for an Insurance agency, as a financial manager assistant at Shellmar de Colombia, human resources and customer service

What qualifications do you hold?

I have had the opportunity to work as a team leader for different departments (financial, human resources, international trading, call centers and customer service). My communication skills (in english and spanish), the ability to work and lead people to reach goals and my organization skills, qualify me to work in any growing and changing enviroment

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I believe both are important. If you have education, you'll be able to use your skills broadly and professionally

Describe the benefits of working with others

Every person has his/her own skills and abilities. Working with others allows you to delegate and distribute tasks and responsibilities, which generate time and money savings.

Describe the benefits of working alone

By working alone you can utilize and distribute your time and responsibilities according to the business needs. This allows you to focus and concentrate on how to reach the goals by using your knowledge and skills.

What was your worst working experience?

I haven't had a very bad working experience, but it is very frustrating when you cannot reach the goals due to situations that are out of your hands.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Every weakness becomes an opportunity and practice makes it better. When a goal is not reached and frustration arises, there will be always and opportunity to make things work in a different way.

What unique skills do you have?

My skills are not unique, but I can use them all in a professional way to reach my goals

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

I don't have a "dream job". I think that every job will give the opportunity to learn and grow personally and professionally.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Working in the administrative field allows you to work in any area or department giving you the opportunity to learn and obtain more experience and knowledge.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

I have not found any yet.

How can potential employers contact you?

via email dpbrackner@hotmail.com or by phone 01157-320-609-3725.
