All companies need the financial department because it is important to manage and understand budgets, costs or even ask for money loans. Because of this you can be in direct contact to areas other than finance (such as marketing or operatings) and constantly learn from them. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Many people strictly relate it just to accounting, so many times job opportunities are only for that area and it takes a while to find ones where it is combined.
