What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
It is rewarding to see a student lose their apprehensions about expressing themselves in the target language. It is also interesting to hear students make jokes, internalize them, and laugh at the funny elements in the target language. That's the point at which I know the student has gained some mastery of the language; through a joke.
What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
The pay is usually very uninteresting. Teachers never earn the equivalent of what they put out. Also the writing of tests in uninteresting as not all students are great at tests.
