What field do you currently work in? Utility Engineering, I am a Construction Inspector doing waterline rehabilitation with past experience in roadway construction. A.A.S in Civil Engineering Technology A.A.S. in Surveying Technology Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? They go hand in hand, although on-the job knowledge is a must in the construction/engineering areas. You need that field experience. Part-time job at Fed-Ex loading trucks for shipment. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? No one single person has all the answers and knows everything. There is something to learn from everyone you meet. What unique skills do you have? I have an incredible sense of direction, I have never been lost. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Owning a small cafe. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Solving problems in the field as they arise. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
