I am looking for an English teaching job in Cali Colombia. I live in Canada. My area of study is Linguistics.

I am Canadian.
What languages do you speak (and at what level)?
I am trilingual in three languages: English, French and Spanish. I have a basic level in Japanese and Sign Language.
What country or area are you looking to work in and why?
I want to work in Cali Colombia because I have a lot of family down there.

I have only worked in Canada.

Canada, Colombia.
What field do you currently work in?
Linguistics: Teaching and Translation field.
What fields have you worked in before?
Retail (Sales), Administration, Clerical (Secretarial), Teaching, Translation, Arts and Culture.
What qualifications do you hold?
University degree Honours Bachelor of Arts.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Personally, I think a balance of formal education and skills are very valuable for the workforce. Without education one cannot get very far. And skills are very necessary in order to do an excellent job.
Describe the benefits of working with others
I believe that team work is great if all the parties are willing to cooperate with each other and put a lot of passion and hard work.
Describe the benefits of working alone
It is important to be able to work individually. For me, I think it is an essential skill to be able to work alone, productively and effectively.
What was your worst working experience?
I wouldn't say the worst, but working in a call center was a bit tiring since it was very repetitive.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
The most important lesson I have learnt throughout my career would be that time management and dedication leads to success.
What unique skills do you have?
I am fluent in three languages. I am computer literate in a variety of programs. I am able to edit sounds and videos using special software. I have a typing speed of 50 WPM.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
My dream job is a lifestyle one such as teaching since it involves passion and lots of hard work.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
The most interesting aspects of Linguistics would be the rewarding feeling obtained from inspiring others to learn and succeed in a foreign language; while at the same time having your own dreams come true, integrating in a completely new culture.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
None. I find the field of Linguistics fascinating! :)
What do you love most about Canada?
I love Canada's multiculturalism and diversity and its acceptance of other cultures and religions.
