| How do I know that I am a contract wife? I married my husband who is in the army in sept 2009. I was renting a room and he was in the barracks in colorado and we decided to move out/ We had a hard time looking for apartments that would take our bad credit, but not have to pay 3 months ahead. Almost impossible. Well, I took our last resort and signed up for military housing on post. If we lived off post my husband would recieve $1065 a month for housing. on post they just take it as an allotment. First off my weddding was nothing special just us in jeans and t-shirts at the court house. We decided just days before to get married. Once we moved into military housing he began to resent me, not come home, then mentioned he was taking other military spouses out and it was none of my business who he was out with, what he was doing and if he were to stay with another woman overnight. He would get phone calls at 9pm, take a shower, not tell me where he was going, and not come home. He kept all his paycheck seperate from out joint account. The money I had made he would spend all on fast food, geoceries for himself, cigarettes, and going to resturants with his friends. I would ask for grocery money and he'd give me $20 and tell me tht would have to last me 2 weeks. I got laid off and lost our first child to misscarriage in the same week. He then changed hs attitude, and wuldnt give me any money and his nightly outings got worse saying it was my fault I got laid off. I couldn't find another job, In march the MP's had to remove him from the home due to a domestic. He then filed for divorce. 3 weeks later he moved back in. We then concieved out 2nd child thst week. I later found out that he only moved back in because the neighbor told him that if I move out he has to pay me $699 as my part of BAHII. May 3rd 2010 I kicked him out for his continued inappropriate nightly activity. He left, and the next day closed our joint banking account, took me off car insurance, and blocked me from finding any information from our deers or tricare. He is WTU and I a |
