| Yahoo! Answers: Which major for an Entrepreneur? I go to the University of Connecticut where the Business school is prestegious only becaues it is a small school and so many students want to get in. It does not offer Entrepreneurship as a major, but as a concentration. So I have been planning on going to the business school for Business Management. My other options are anything in the business school, accounting, marketing, finance, business and technology, and I can even do Economics which isn't in the business school but I find it to be pretty interesting. I was wondering what would be suggested for someone like myself, I plan on being an entrepreneur, I have some experience running a business and I know it is what I want to do for sure. People tell me that I don't need college to be an entrepreneur, and I understand that. But I prefer to get a degree just for myself and as a back up just in case because no one knows what the future holds. So I am asking for suggestions, advice, opinions, and peoples own experiences. Is going for business management the best option? I know that if I had to get a job that being a manager or any other job that business management provides is a job I would want. I hear Economics majors don't have much of a chance getting a good job. People call it the worthless major. So what do you suggest I do? |
