| Has there ever been anything cathartic in your life has inspired you? I've recently undertaken the P90X diet and fitness program after breaking up with the last woman I saw. She wasn't really serious about the relationship. Instead, she was a cougar just looking for a good time. I felt so betrayed after I learned she lied about her ex-husband living in Connecticut where she's from. She claimed they got divorced back in New England before she moved here (I'm in Austin, Texas.) Much to my chagrin, I learned later he lives in San Antonio. Anyway, this all was an epiphany in the long run. It made me realize life is too short to be upset about small things. Further, it made me worry whether or not life is passing me by. I'm 31, and I've never been married, and I just now graduated from college last December. Let's just say I got a late start. Since starting the P90X program, I've already lost 15 pounds and I'm still counting. I decided I was going to take good care of myself so everything else can fall into place. Some of the happiest people I've ever seen were middle aged folks who took great care of themselves. Needless to say, I've concluded ten years from now when I'm 41, I aspire to feel like I'm 21 physically and to be in top shape. All these tough breaks I've encountered during this economy being unable to find a job and whatnot have inspired me. I'm the kind of person who believes all bad events in life can have happy endings if we learn from them. Has anyone else ever experienced a cathartic event that created some kind of pivotal point in your life. If so, please share. |
