What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a Career in Information Technology specifically systems administration, Database Administration (MSSQL and MySQL), and/or Networking.

What nationality are you?

I am a natural born United States Citizen

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak English and some Spanish.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Costa Rico is where I wish to work and eventually move to Costa Rico due to its beauty and natural environment.

What countries have you worked in?

I have only worked in the Untied States of America.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

I currently do not have a work Visa as of yet.

What field do you currently work in?

I am currently employed in the Information Technology sector. Specific areas of expertise include Windows Systems administration, limited Unix administration, significant MSSql and MySQL database administration, and network administration.

What fields have you worked in before?

Other fields of work was in retail with the JC Penney copany.

What qualifications do you hold?

I have a MCP in MySQL database administration.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider skills more important than formal education. I have both formal education and on the job training, or skills. I have worked with people with "formal" computer education and certifications. My personal skills and experience have allowed me to out performed those with numerous "certifications".

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others allows multiple view points in creating a new product, idea or problem resolution. One person does not have all the answers. Thus, team work is essential to success.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone can ensure continuity of effort. Working solo allows an individual to be creative, grow, and provide self satisfaction as well as company value.

What was your worst working experience?

My worst working experience which was also my best working experience when I was transferred by the JC Penney Company from one city to another. During and after the transition, I learned so much about myself and others where I was able to be a greater asset to all.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

My most important lesson that I have learned is that to have the best people work for and with you. If they know more than you, they will be an asset to you in a working relationship

What unique skills do you have?

Unique skills that I possess include knowing Microsoft operating systems, database environments, and networks while being able to effectively communicate, provide alternate perspectives, while maintaining strong work ethics and morals.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job would be to work in an environment where I can live and grow as an individual where me and my family benefit as well as the organization for which I work.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The most interesting aspects of my field is that it is always changing.

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The least interesting aspect of my field are crucial maintenance of backup and restores, disaster recovery. System backup and restores are not interesting. However, all aspects of a field are not glamorous but required.

When can I relocate to Costa Rico?

I am able and willing to relocate to Costa Rico at once.
