English, but will learn Spanish

Cental America

What countries have you worked in?

North America (United States)

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None, at this time

What field do you currently work in?

Nursing

What fields have you worked in before?

Private Industry

What qualifications do you hold?

Registered nurse for 18 years

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both are important, skills in my opinion is the front runner because you have hands on experienc

Describe the benefits of working with others

You have a support system as long as you have team players

Describe the benefits of working alone

I see no benefits in working alone. Working in numbers is more powerful and safer for the patient

What was your worst working experience?

Delivering an 11 pound baby who was pronounced dead inuteral. The mother had no prenatal care. Very emotional and tearful experience for both parents and staff

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

You have to critically think and be one step ahead in whatever you do. Always think of what you would do in case of an emergency. Always be prepared.

What unique skills do you have?

Labor and delivery nurse, Postpartum Nurse, certified childbirth educator, certified CPR instructor, skilled in NRP, Stable, and ACLS

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Helping and educating women in childbirth

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Helping bring a new life into the world

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Finding the way and strength to deal with bad outcomes in deliveries
