Nursing Job in Costa RicaWhat type of job are you looking for? I am seeking employment in Costa Rica as a RN, either wihin a hospital setting or homecare. What nationality are you? I was born in Jamaica,WI, however, I don't know much about the country. I am a citizen of the USA for over 25 years. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Costa Rica What countries have you worked in? Huntsville, AL, NYC, Brooklyn, MA What countries do you have a visa to work in? Don't need a visa What field do you currently work in? I presently work in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. What fields have you worked in before? I have Prior experience with homecare, longterm care, and pediatric homecare nursing. What qualifications do you hold? BA, ASN, Currently working on my MA in Nursing Ed. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I have a love for education. Once you have the education to know why things happen the way they do, then skills can be applied with a through comprehension. Describe the benefits of working with others Being a team player is important. If there is a code on the floor, you will need assistance. Also, if you are not sure about something, it is ok to ask. Describe the benefits of working alone I don't mind working alone, because I know I have to answer to God at the end the day, knowing that I did my very best with His creation. What was your worst working experience? My worst experience at the job is when co-workers come into work in the morning and complain at the amount of work that needs to be done. The work is there to be done, complaining is not helping the situation. I prefer to just do the work. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? It is important to be a team player. No matter what issues the staff may have with each other, the patient's interest is always first. What unique skills do you have? Loving people and dedication. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Perhaps opening and Adult Daycare center for seniors. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Learning new things each day, and seeing people who was ill walk out of the hospital well. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting aspects of my field is when people call in sick and we are short of staff and others do not want to pull their own weight.
