What fields have you worked in before? Ob/gyn high risk prenatal care. What qualifications do you hold? Nursing degree and surgical certification. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both are important, but skills play a big part of experience and understanding of what to expect. Experience teaches us to be able to think ahead or be able to plan ahead. Not understanding the surgical procedure and the instruments needed to do the procedure. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? communication is key in understanding one another. This goes for all areas of the surgical circle. from transportation to patients , surgeons, other nurses, anesthesia, and the patients knowing their procedure. What unique skills do you have? I can circulate and scrub in OB/gyn, Gen Surg, Urology, ENT, and plastics. I also coordinate the OR. I make assignments and plan ahead with the surgeons and the nurses. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? head nurse of an OR in a foreign country. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? the diversity of field. You can always learn something new.
