Tyler Wykes (66.183.123.43) - 08/20/09 05:22

What type of job are you looking for?

The type of job that I am looking for is a supervisory type position on a major project that needs some care. I have the skills that you want in a medium or large type project. In this area I excell. Getting a project going or fixing the issues, I have what it takes.

What nationality are you?

Canadian

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak english very well. (I can also speak newfie, eh.) (and western canadia, eh.)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Costa Rica would be a great country to work in for me, only because it matches my personality, and my style. RELAXED and still ACTIVE...

What countries have you worked in?

I worked in Jamaica building a water resevouir for a school for deaf children in 1996. What an experience! I was 15 years old and I feel the same now. amazing. The truck hauling the cinder blocks up the hill broke down half way up. So me anf 20 other volunteers hauled the bricks by hand and hauled the water for the mortar by hand to the top of the mountain. (only because the water pressure was being supplied by gravity). In the end it worked out perfect and all was well. What a satisfaction it was to stand back and revel in all we hae done. We were the ones that made it happen.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Well, Canada is sweet. Other than that I could use some help. EH!

What field do you currently work in?

I am a journeyman carpenter with a red seal certification (which is pretty good I might add) And experience to match st. Joseph himself.ha ha (seriously)

What fields have you worked in before?

Commercial construction is my strong point, but if need be Residential is OK... I Guess. Also commercial construction is my strong point. Did I mention that already? If I did, well I might mention commercial is my strong point.

What qualifications do you hold?

I have my journeyman carpenter ticket with the red seal. (not sure if that means anything to you) but at the same time maybe it does. I have my forklift operators ticket and my explosive actuated tools certificate. First aid and life rescue one certificate.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Formal education has it's benifits in the way that you understand the way everything works, in the perfect world. Skills are the one thing that cannot be taken from you. If you have 'em share 'em. If you can't share 'em, use them. If you can't use them, give up. I got 'em. I love to share. LOL

Describe the benefits of working with others

The only reason I can see that would benefit anyone from me working with others is the fact that I could share my views and expertise with others and help them become extra ordinary. JUST LIKE ME.

Describe the benefits of working alone

working alone is like living alone, It's great for the first couple of months, But when its all figured out and you realize you are all alone... It sucks. Period. No fun. At All. Bring on a crew.

What was your worst working experience?

Foundations. Not that the work was terrible, I just hated burying my work in dirt. Forever. For every eye to miss.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Diligence. Without it you cannot succeed. Hard work equals hard cash. PERIOD.

What unique skills do you have?

Design is a strong point for me and I love every aspect of it. However my skills and training serve me well. From planning to execution I have a great base to launch from.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job is carpentry. That is why I do what I do. I love to build things others can only dream about. to make dreams reality and vise versa. This is were I want to be. Costa Rica, Me, My tools, And happiness.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The most interesting aspects of my field are the facts that I can make anything come to reality and reality can become anything.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

I Love My Job!!

How can potential employers contact you?
