Doctor of medicine What type of job are you looking for? A job that would provide me a chance to work and learn at the same time. What nationality are you? Croatian. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English advanced level, german and spanish very good. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Switzerland. Areas of my interst would primarly be to ones that would have a lot of patients and different cases so I could collect as much experience as possible. Also, a medical field that would give me the chance to thrive and go further every day in the service of my better education as a physician and a human being, trying to improve my proffesional and social skills. What countries have you worked in? Croatia only. What countries do you have a visa to work in? Croatia. What field do you currently work in? Emergency medicine. What fields have you worked in before? Pediatrics, obstetrition and gynecology, surgery, family medicine, infectious diseases, internal medicine, oftalmology, head and neck surgery, pschiatry, neurology, dermatology. What qualifications do you hold? Primary patient care in general and/or familiy medicine. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? They both hold a high value, but first one that we recive is education, and education alone is the acomplishment that makes skills possible after a while in practice. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others sumarizes a few benefits at the same time,such as: learning from others, considering medicine, but also social skills maybe even parts of a different language or a culture, sharing your patient experiences, so also teaching others. Describe the benefits of working alone One benefit alone, to learn on your mistakes and never make it again. What was your worst working experience? Haven't had bad ones so far, so none I would put emphasis on. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? the most important lesson I've learned throughout my, so far short career, is that as a physician You have to be wide awake at any moment, and also to listen carefully, Your patient first of all, then yourself and at last, but not least your fellow colleagues, to be able to make the right, the best decision. What unique skills do you have? Maybe I wouldn't call it a skill, but more as an ability to find a way,a solution, and find it fast and efficient, in new and unfamilliar situations, which is very usefull for a young doctor such as I trying to make it in a proffesional world and not to panic and do harm. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is to be a doctor and cure people not harm them it does not matter in what field in particular. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Working with children to eldrely and experiencing various cases on daily bases. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? It can be exhausting sometimes to pull so much information from my head for many people in such a short amount of time as working hours in a doctors office. Why you and not others? I can adjust quickly on new enviroment, am a fast learner and hard worker and can pick the pace up in a higher gear when needed.
