I am interested in information on how the electrical construction industry operates in Croatia. I am an electrical contractor in Canada and I recently married a Croatian girl from koprinica. We are planning to visit Croatia in the near future so I can see how things work out there. Are electricians in Croatia licensed? Is there a shortage of electricians? Is it hard to start a company there and hire electricians? Are outsiders frowned upon? Any information would be useful. Thanks.

Our kind don't particularly like Canadians....but if you married a Croatian girl you should be fine.

"Croatians don't like Canadians?"
How can you not like Canada? We act like we know everything, but Canadas labor force is low skilled. We act like we are healthy and 'outdoorsy', but we are actually fat and lazy. We act like we are a peaceful people, but our cities are violent. Whats not to like? I was in Zupanja last spring and my brother in law works at a window manufacturing plant. All of the windows were leaning against chain link fences near the street, totally exposed to potential rock throwers. In 3 years of buiseness, no Croatian had ever vandalised one of those windows. If that was Canada, every one of those windows would have been smashed the first night! • Page 1 (Original Post) •
