If you're not sure, tell them you're not sure - but stress that you're itching to find out If you're positive (or almost positive), be 1000% positive and aim to prove your method/suggestion/best practice - even if it means you're working 20 hour days for the next 6 months If you were positive and now aren't sure, make sure you come out and admit defeat. Management won't care if you said you could, but couldn't early in a project or enterprise, however, come to them late in the game (when you've known for a few days) and you'll be doing tech support before you can say singleton.
