Iam currently working as a care assistant (i've 10 year's experience working with in both residential and nursing care homes).The majority of my clients whom i work with have Dementia. What fields have you worked in before? Apart from working with the elderly i have had my own experience with having two children with speacial needs. What qualifications do you hold? I hold my NVQ2 Access to Nursing.Diploma in Child Psychology,am in the process of studying for my Health and Social Degree.Recieved certificate- National Care Home Awards 2010 Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Having the knowledge and skills are equally important in any job,however i believe that obtaining skills and actually putting them into practice is value Describe the benefits of working with others Working as a team can be beneificial as new skills are likely to develop whether it enhancing social skills,obtaining new ideas.Working with others enables an individual to develop their confidence if low. Describe the benefits of working alone Benefits of working alone is that an individual is able to use their own initiative and enables them to work to a routine and at their own pace.
