Cyrpus location mainly Paphos. My parents are having a villa built in Paphos at the moment and are planning to retire in this region very soon. They have asked me to follow them, but I would like to have a job and set up home before that time. What countries have you worked in? I have done a month of work experience in Illinois in 1998 during my nursing training. I stayed with relatives hen I was there. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I do not posess a visa. What field do you currently work in? Surgical Theatre Nursing. What qualifications do you hold? Diploma in Adult Nursing. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think both are equally important. I have three children and feel that being a parent has taught be many valuable life skills. The formal education instills the theory behind the actions necessary to work effectively and rationale for every action made professionally. Describe the benefits of working with others I already work within a multi-cultural society in London. I feel that it has enriched my professional life dramatically. By ways of working together as a team,communicating, over-coming any language barriers, and enabling a high quality to problem solving where everyone benefits and more importantly the patients that I care for. Describe the benefits of working alone I am able to reflect upon my practice and see where there is a weakness, or area that requires more improvement and enhance this by focussing upon it. What was your worst working experience? I haven't experienced one as yet. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To listen and communicate with others effectively, at all times. As communication by means of verbal and non-verbal cues enables the workload to end positively. What unique skills do you have? I communicate very well. I am patient. I understand both sympathy and empathy through my own life experiences. I am driven. And fair. And enjoy working with others very much! What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I am performing it now. Surgical nursing. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Enhancing patient's quality of life through surgical interventions where and when necessary. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? There is so much paperwork.
