British What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English but have just started to learn Greek What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking for work in and around the Paphos area, but am prepared to travel to Limmasol. We are in the process of moving from the UK to our home in Kissenerga. What countries have you worked in? I have worked most of my life in the United Kingdom but whilst in the RAF was sent on detachment to Akrotiri for a short time. What field do you currently work in? I currently work in the Construction Industry as Office Manager, and Buyer What fields have you worked in before? Appart from the RAF I have mostly working within the Construction Industry What qualifications do you hold? I have GCSE's in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, History and Politics. RSA II in Word Processing, Excell, Powerpoint Vocational Training in Project Management, Strategic Purchasing, Sage Accounting and Payroll Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that skills are the more valuable, on top of a good solid education. Skills learnt through experience can enable you to be far more flixible and help resolve unforseen problems. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others gives you the opportunity to learn from each other and develop your skills. It can also motivate you through a particularly busy day. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone can be beneficial if you need to concentrate and not be distracted. What was your worst working experience? My worst work experience was knowing that the job I was employed for would result in others losing theirs and having to keep that confidential. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? You never stop learning, no matter how many years you have been doing the job. What unique skills do you have? I am felixible, honest, a team player, have a sense of humour and enjoy a challenge. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working in Paphos for an Engineering/Architectural/Construction company What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I enjoy the variety you always get in an administration role, you could be creating a spreadsheet one minute, organising travel arrangements the next, then typing up a report or greeting a vistor. No two days are ever the same. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Filing - everyone hates filing but it has to be done.
