Outdoor work in DenmarkWhat type of job are you looking for? I'd like to do outdoor work. It's what I'm most farmiliar with, I'd like to try plant nursery work or apple picking. What nationality are you? British What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English (mother tongue), Arabic - basic writing and reading and intermediate spoken (syrian dialect) What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I'm looking for general agricultural work in Denmark as I've worked there before and am familiar with the system. I'm also considering doing doing grape picking in france because i have friends there. What countries have you worked in? Greece, Denmark, UK, Syria What countries do you have a visa to work in? As an eu citizen it is not necessary for me to get a visa for europe. What field do you currently work in? At the moment I am studying. My most recent employment was in english teaching. What fields have you worked in before? Construction , Fruit picking, Forestry(christmas trees), English teaching What qualifications do you hold? GCSE sencondary school certificate, BTEC national diploma in electical and electronic engineering Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both are valuable depending on the type of employment you are seeking. Formal education is obviously an important beginning for any kind of academic job whereas physical work usually does not demand formal education but experience. Describe the benefits of working with others Any large project can be accomplished faster and with better results by a well organised well lead team. Working with others can be more enjoyable as well. Especially with a group of friends. What was your worst working experience? I excepted a job in an apple and pear packing factory at the end of the summer a couple of years ago. I was offered the job on the condition i arrived at the other side of Denmark the next day at 7:30 in the morning. I had never done this kind of work before and didn't like working inside with machines. I also found the realionship between the staff and workers a little strange. When I decided to leave the job my employers wouldn't pay me until a month after I had started working. This is aparently standard practice. To make things worse when I finally got paid I was taxed 60%. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? All employers appreciate honesty punctuality and hard work.
