Denmark - Expat Jobs

Hard worker looking for anything!

What type of job are you looking for?

Anything really, preferably something in the service industry so I can interact with locals.

What nationality are you?

Australian...but I have spent most of my life living in New Zealand.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English is native obviously, but I can speak some basic Swedish, and I'm learning Danish!

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Copenhagen....preferably in the city, but anywhere in the metro will be good.

What countries have you worked in?

Australia and New Zealand.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Denmark, and UK.

What field do you currently work in?

Unemployed in Denmark! But I have a degree in Property and Urban Development...before I came here though I was working in a winery!

What fields have you worked in before?

Where to start....I've worked in such a variety of jobs from Bars, to Cafes, even a Casino. I've worked on vineyards and in wineries, have done office administration, property development, furniture removal, catering, etc.

What qualifications do you hold?

Bachelor of Property and Sustainable Development.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills, but I do believe in order to get a job first, you need some academic skills to hit the ground running.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Makes your job more enjoyable; working alone often makes work tedious.

Describe the benefits of working alone

It's an added responsibility, and you ultimately are the only reason your targets are not met, so it's more of an enjoyable challenge not to rely on others.

What was your worst working experience?

Working for my father...although it was fun work, it doesn't do you any favours to relate to a professional working environments as you have a much more easy going work environment.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Blaming others for your problems will only result in more negativity for yourself.

What unique skills do you have?

Communication skills (although probably not in Danish!). I'm a great public speaker, and very friendly. I'm probably the only person who wants to head into Urban Design that could fix a tractor, build a wire fence, and prune a vineyard!

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Being an Urban Design Consultant....like what Jan Gehl (the famous Danish architect) does.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Seeing how changes to a persons surroundings could ultimately change their lives.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

I haven't worked long enough to find any yet!

Why should we employ you?

Because not only am I a bloody hard worker, I'm am intelligent, well mannered, and basically an all round nice person. I like challenges, and I like to work with people.

How can potential employers contact you?

You are able to give a call on +45 50122767 (Danish mobile).
