I'm currently working as project manager in a printing house in Latvia, so in the best case scenerio, i would love to do sth similar in Aalborg (as i'm going to study in Aalbor from September) But i'm also ready to work in a Care or shop. I would like to work in Aalborg, cause i'm starting Masters at Aalborg University in September, 2011 What countries have you worked in? I have worked in Latvia as translator (English to Latvian), and project manager in a Printing House What field do you currently work in? Book printing (working with Danish customers) What qualifications do you hold? Bachelor degree in Arts (Intercultural realations) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think that education and skills supplement each other. Formal education is more necessary for personal growth, but one rarely gets real skill from formal education - skills you get by working. But if i must choose, than i would say that formal education is more valuable, cause you can learn everything you need very quickly by working Describe the benefits of working with others The first good thing is the team spirit. You work together for one goal, you can brainstorm, you can rely on each other. Describe the benefits of working alone When you work alone, you know that the result depends only on you. You can make all the decisions yourself, and you know the job will be done exactly as you want it, and as good as you can. You don't have to make compromises. What was your worst working experience? I haven't had bad working experience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned that it is very important to find an individual way of dealing with different people. It is possible to solve everything, if you know how to communicate with people. Ther is no problem you can't solve, you just have to find the right way. What unique skills do you have? I have great diplomatic skills - i'm good at finding compromises, and making an agreement. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I would love to be a diplomat - work in an Embassy. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? As my passion is books, i love being able to help make them. And another interesting thing is that i can communicate with Danish clients, use the language i have learned. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Although the titles we print changes, the process is all the time pretty much the same - so after some time you start to feel routine Why would i be a good emploee?
