Engineering Consulting; construction testing What fields have you worked in before? restaurant, construction management, drafting, Boys and Girls Club organization, field construction What qualifications do you hold? Bachelor and Master's Degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Michigan certifications in Nuclear Density Gauge Testing, Concrete Testing, and Aggregate Testing Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I feel that both are valuable. The formal education allows you to acquire the necessary knowledge to theoretically accomplish a technical goal, but skills and "hands on" knowledge allow you to learn how to actually complete that task in real life. Both traits need to work together to be successful. Describe the benefits of working with others You are able to brainstorm ideas and see which ones wil work the best. The responsibility is shared and therefore a well-rounded product can be produced. You may not always have the best idea, but working with others can expand upon it.
