I am looking for a management position with administration included where I would be able to use my skills and enhance where possible to be of good service to everyone. I also have some financial background banking etc. What nationality are you? I am of Dutch nationality. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak English fluently. I speak Dutch good. I speak Spanish fairly. English and Dutch I write very well also. Spanish fairly. What country or area are you looking to work in ? Dominica., because I am looking into returning to the Caribbean so I can be closer to family. What countries have you worked in? I have worked 9 years on the Dutch Caribbean island of St. Eustatius . I also worked on the island of St. Maarten and at present I am working in The Netherlands. What countries do you have a visa to work in? At the moment I do not have any visa to work in any country. What field do you currently work in? Currently I am working as a supervisor at a group daycare center. What fields have you worked in before? For 9 years I worked as manager of the post office on the island of St. Eustatius Netherlands Antilles. Then I moved to the Netherlands where I work at TNT Post also and then I worked at a daycare center. What qualifications do you hold? I do hold a Bachelor degree in management and and Associate degree in business administration. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? In my opinion both are valuable. Why? Because nowadays you need to have education or a degree in your hand in order to achieve a good job and skills are also important, because they go hand in hand with education.And they are important in order for you to perform well in your position which you are holding. Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits of working with others is you can have a great team and in so doing you can accomplish much more. If its you alone, sometimes depending on the job, it become very demanding. Working with others gives you the opportunity to delegate the work. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefits of working alone can be you know that you have to get the job done, so you put your best forward to accomplish the job. You do not depend on others to get the job done and you work at your own paste. No distractions and you can work very focused and you tend to be more organized. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience was actually change of boss and because I am a very direct person and I stand up for others he thought it would be nice for him to get rid of me because of this attitude. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I have learnt throughout my career is always be yourself. Treat everyone with respect and do not expect everyone to like you. Do your work to the best of your ability and most of all be honest in whatever you have to do. What unique skills do you have? I can say for sure that once I have a job to do, I do not stop until the job is completed. I do not believe in problems, I believe in finding solutions. I am a very dependable worker. And I believe in giving my best. Would you be willing to follow courses if needed? Yes, I would be more than willing to follow courses when necessary. One can never know too much and I am one always willing to improve my skills, so I can be of better service. What is the most interesting aspect of my present position? The most interesting aspect would be the fact that I get to meet all kinds of people with different characters and that no matter how tough a person may seem to be, once you are honest and say the right words you can get through to the most difficult person. What is the least interesting aspect of my present position? The least interesting aspect would be that I cannot please everyone and sometimes its hard for people to understand that you have a job to do and its not personal. Especially when you have to tell them the truth about the situation. Would you be willing to travel if your position requires you to? Yes, I would be willing to travel if its required.
