Several years ago I visited Dominica and have forever been haunted by its uniqueness in every respect. I'm a 58 year old female looking to do something more meaningful with the rest of my working years. Over time I have owned my own relocation service, taught continuing education classes at local community colleges that included custom written curricula on organic gardening and natural foods. I am a certified paralegal. For the past 16 years I have been the co-owner and dirctor of a nonsectarian spiritual education center that offers services in personal spiritual development, meditation, Reiki, and many other related offerings. Though this has been an extrememly meaningful occupation, I now have people who could take over, and I could move on to a badly needed change. My orgaization skills are good, as I have planned and managed many acitivies involving people, money, timing, etc. over the years. My desire is to offer something to Dominica if there is a place for me. I recently read the island has lost a large amount of exporting, and one of my biggest concerns when I was there was the alarming amount of litter in such a beautiful place. I have strong environmental and wildlife interests and would love to assist in a program to perserve and improve things along that line. I have always had a "make do" spirit and understand some of the limitation of the economic conditions of the island. If anyone has any leads for me, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you.
