I am a Certified Aesthetician What nationality are you? I am a Canadian. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English What country or area are you looking to work in and why? The Dominican Republic because I wish to live in Punta Cana for 6 months of the year and Canada for 6 months. What countries have you worked in? Canada What field do you currently work in? Aesthetics. In the Spa Industry. What fields have you worked in before? In the Airline, banking , and weigt loss industries. What qualifications do you hold? Certified Esthetician, Laser Hair Removal Technician and Laser Pulse Light Technician. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe both are equally valuable. Education gives you the foundation and background to pursue the career that you are passionate about and the skills provide the avenue to put them into practice. Describe the benefits of working with others Team work is essential in a working environment to produce a job well done in a competent,cooperative and efficient manner. There will always be others that can have input and advice into how things can help create synergy in a working environment. Describe the benefits of working alone The benifits of working alone would depend on the job in which you are trained. Perhaps if you need to complete a task that requires focus and concentration with minimal interference this may be an asset. It really depends on the situation. Balance may be the best solution to any job. What was your worst working experience? Whatever it was, and really I don't recall it, it probably served as a lesson learned and a growth expeience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Always find a balance in life and work and it is important to stay calm and maintain a neutral and positive position when working with people. What unique skills do you have? Intuition when working with people. It is a good skill to be able to read people. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job at this point in my life would to work in a Spa, as an Aeathetician, and do Aesthetic and/or relaxion masssage in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The people. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least appealing service as an Aesthetician would be, I suppose ,would be a brazillizn wax.
