I was a line cook at a few restaraunts, and I have owned my own Finish Carpentry company for the last 5 years. I attended College and took an organizational behavior course, web page design and visual basics programing Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think that skills are more important because you can have all the training in the world, but if you cant put it to practical use, it is meaningless. Good work shows more than any credentials. Describe the benefits of working with others The benifit of working with others is that production goes up, and you have the opportunity to learn from the people you are workng with Describe the benefits of working alone I think the benifit of working alone is that you can concentrate on what you are doing without having any distractions What was your worst working experience? My worst experience with work was when my boss was a raging alcaholic and came into work drunk all the time, and I ended up losing a job because he went out of business. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important thing that I have learnt is that hard work pays off and speaks for itself. If you work hard and do your job right, everyone is happy, your employer, the customer and the employee because you get job satisfaction. What unique skills do you have? I am very good at working with others. I enjoy social interaction, and problem solving with others. I am an Excellent carpenter, and am an excellent cook. I also have the ability to learn new things extremly quickly. I also have my forklift ticket, and I can operate alot of heavy machinery What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be working in resort, either working as a bartender or entertainment What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most intesting aspect of what I do now is the job completion. I love walking into a bare house and doing my work and seeing the finished product. I take alot of pride in what I do, and I enjoy doing custom work. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting aspect is when you have alot of the same stuff to do, and the repition gets pretty boring.
