Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Formal education definately helps. Although, I feel as though you can never beat on the job training and learning from experts in your chosen field. Formal education makes you well rounded and also requires a strong work ethic. Although, I feel that you really do not start learning about the occupation until you are immersed in it. You will learn things that text books and lectures can not teach. Formal education builds a strong foundation for you to build on.
Describe the benefits of working with others
Working with others allows you to see other peoples ideas and allows you to share ideas to complete a task. It also allows you to see ideas from a different approach. Working with others also alleviates a liitle bit of pressure that might be found when working alone.
Describe the benefits of working alone
When the project or task is complete, you can say that you completed it all on your own. When you see the finished product, you know that it was solely you that completed that project.
What was your worst working experience?
Probably while selling cars. There was a salesman that would step all over your toes trying to steal your sale. It showed that there are some people who only care for themselves and they will do anything to get what they want ( this includes overstepping boundaries).
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
To listen. When a customer has a complaint, listen. Do not give excuses, listen to what the customer is saying and be be helpful. Customers want to be heard. If a customer has a bad steak, they do not want to hear that our regular chef had the night off, they want the problem fixed. Be there for your customers.
What unique skills do you have?
I have the ability to mediate situations very well. I also have an excellent ability to get employees on the right track and enjoy their job. I try to make the work environment fun but also making sure that all tasks are done properly. I also think that my customer relations are excellent.

My dream job would be managing a wonderful establishment at the beach in the Dominican Republic. A place where locals and visitors can have a wonderful experience, a place where we have a great repeat business.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
Seeing people enjoy themselves. My philosophy is, not everyone can afford a vacation, but they do not have to fly somewhere to get away. So if you can give them a wonderful experience in your establishment, they are able to get away from their everyday life and enjoy themselves at a reasonable price, they will appreciate that and spend their free time at your establishment.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
The hours are the least interesting. It is no 9-5pm job. You are working during party time. You are making sure people are having fun during there time away from work.
Please replace this with a question of your own
Is there anyone in the Dominican Republic that needs a English speaking manager of a Bar/Restaurant or Nightclub?
