Looking for EmploymentWhat type of job are you looking for? Im looking for a job in the retail/sales department, preferably in Punta Cana (Bavaro). I have a strong background in Customer service and Cashier expirience and love working with people. What nationality are you? Canadian What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I will be travelling to the Dominican Republic on the 28th of May, of this year and will be residing there for about 5 months. Looking to make some money for basic needs. Retail, hospitality, Cashier, Hostessing, Party planning. What qualifications do you hold? Highschool diploma, Certified Lifeguard, People savers course, CPR & First aid qualified. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider both to be of great value, but I feel like skills is of more value, depending on what you are trying to get into. If you are looking at being a sales representative and have great communication skills and good skills with bargaining, making deals etc. you will be highly successful in life. Describe the benefits of working with others I love working with others, as Im a big 'people person' myself. Im confident, and feel happy when working with others. I like to help other people, and like to recieve help from others around me as well. I like working in a team environment. Describe the benefits of working alone Although I'd rather work in a team environment, I don't mind working alone as well. I work harder and stay 100% attentive and focused. I get what I need to get done, alot faster when I work alone and work with a clear mind. What was your worst working experience? Had a rude customer throw chicken all over me when I was a cashier at a grocery store. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Always try to please your customer or at least 'meet them half way' What unique skills do you have? Im excellent at selling things. I have great communication skills and I'm extremely bright. I consider myself a very intelligent girl with alot to offer. Im great at English skills and cooking. I learn new things very quickly, and have a very good memory. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working in Punta Cana, Domincan Republic ! I'd love to be a spokeswoman on T.V. one day. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Absolutely everything, I love selling products and Im great at it. I love meeting new people, having conversations with people and just being friendly in general. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Boring people, and rude customers ! Where would you like to be right now at this very moment?
