What type of job are you looking for?

Lecturing job,in gender and development studies or community development.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English up to University level.I teach using English Language

What State are you looking to work in and why?

Arkansas state,Maryland and Texas since the weather is fairly warmer and life is more affordable

What field do you currently work in?

I am currently a lecturer in gender and development studies field.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked as a teacher and inspector of schools in kenya

What qualifications do you hold?

Masters in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies ,University of Sussex ,United Kingdom.I have registered for PhD in Development Studies

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Formal Education helps one to acquire skills that can be applied to solve challenges of day to day life and improve one's quality of life

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others is very important since it opens the opportunity to learn from one another and creates a rich environment of ideas that can go along way in making things easier and improving situations.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone can be faster than working with other people.

What was your worst working experience?

When I was teaching in a poor school and there was lack of teaching materials and the students were to do a national Exam which was very competitive yet the students and the parents believed in my role to ensure their children produce good results.It was a desperate and challenging situation but I had improvise whatever locally available material to ensure students could perform better.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

That no human being is useless.Everyone can become anything if given the opportunity and the resources

What unique skills do you have?

Am patient,outgoing, tolerant and passionate about issues that affect humanity

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Being a professor in the research field in community or development studies since it is an area that deals with peoples lives.I would be proud to participate in looking for solutions to peoples' problems.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Issues of poverty,HIV/AIDS,Human rights violations,Conflict,Gender violence and discrimination.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

psychology of gender is not very interesting
