Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I cannot answer that question. Some people naturally develop a vocation or skill such as mechanics, carpentry, or art and therefore seek non-academic institutions to refine and use their abilities. Others find their skills and vocation within an academic setting. I cannot place one over the other in importance.

Describe the benefits of working with others

I am an incredibly social person in my personal and professional life. With a degree in Psychology and a work as a consultant and community organizer I thrive in working directly with people, one on one, or in group settings. I value project work highly. As a writer, I collaborative directly with agency staff and other key community members to complete proposals and program literature.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone has many benefits, especially when writing, grading papers, lesson planning and researching. These tasks necessitate alone time. Alone time allows for concentration and helps one complete the aforementioned tasks.

What was your worst working experience?

I worked in restaurants, fine dining, for many years. The worst part of those highly competitive and stressful environments was the lack of teamwork and camaraderie. I learned that I couldn't thrive in a job environment with so little support amongst co-workers.

Do not sell yourself short. I am still learning this one.
