Amharic, english and oromiffa i am fluent in all of the above languages What country or area are you looking to work in and why? where ever in ethiopia and also in southern, eastern except somali and Eritria and western parto of Africa , and where ever in Europe, USA, Aeutralia What countries have you worked in? still now i have been working onlly in ethiopia What countries do you have a visa to work in? i have no visa of any country, but i have a passport What field do you currently work in? currentlly i am working in the field of oublic health; which is the area of field i have specialized in masters degree from Hawassa University, ethiopia. i am a HIV/AIDS prevention and control NGO project coordinator. What fields have you worked in before? before earning my MPH degeree, i was working as a clinician at ST paul specialized hospital and as head of health center/institution. i had also worked as clinical service monitoring support project for two months in USAID What qualifications do you hold? BSC degree in Public Health Officer in 2006 from Haramaya University MPH degree from Hawassa university Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? both my BSc and MPH degrees are more valuable in the field of public health jobs. all my job expriances are also allevate my competencies for the related job opportunities. on job trainings i have taken are also valuable in the respective job opportunities of the training title. the certified trainings are; Monitoring and evaluation and communication, Food by prescription, PMTCT, Clinical management of malnutrition, Basic ART training for physicians, District Management:(M & E), and Reproductive health. i have also taken other non certified short term trainings like injection safety, HIMS, Malaria prevention and management and evaluation and mgt of AWD. Describe the benefits of working with others it is known that working with varieties of people who came from different parts of the world helps to share knowledges, expriances, culture, and different talents. it is also better opportunity to acces different technologies and knowleges invented from different parts of the world and from different directions. Describe the benefits of working alone working alone has no more benefeets as my knowledge; except having libration of time and self plan What was your worst working experience? it is known that, the Afar regional estate of ethiopia is the hotest area and more challenging to live; but i have worked for more than one year as a head of health center. and i am confident to withstand any challenges What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? the most important lessons i learnt from my working expriance are; having open mind and good interpersonal relationship are very crucial in team work. and working with multy diciplinary team enable to aquire new knowledge beyond the acadamic qualifications obtained and self profesion. What unique skills do you have? i aware that i have very out standing outlook towards the phenomenon and this enables me to look new stratagies and methods from the tradational same way What would you consider as your 'dream job'? as i have mentioned above i would like to work with multidiciplinary teams and with the people from different cultures and knowledge. i also like to work in the organizations' which serve the large minority groups of the people to change their health and quality of life. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? as we all know public health field puts the public as a single client in clinical practice. this enables me and others to see theire work on the generakl population rather than a single person. and this is very interesting What are the least interesting aspects of your field? public health practitioners are expected to work with minority groups of people in most of the time; this has a challenge to create understanding on illetrates about health and life. these people are also found in very remote areas where many public services and infrastractures are scares. and this is a challenge for Public Health profesionals.
