My name is Maria. Maria from "the old country". I am seeking for inner peace. A last year's graduate from University of California at Santa Barbara, California, I hope to put my degree to good use. I am a concert pianist and a piano teacher, but I am also heavily into human rights. I can teach classical music; voice and piano that is. I am also a poet and a classical ballet dancer.
I used to volunteer for Sue Ryder Homes in Cavendish, Suffolk, England. I was the oldest of twelve children. My father was a teacher of classical Latin and foreign languages. Originally form Croatia, a Hungarian person though, I spent time in the United States since Aug 10, 1979, and never left the country since. I overcame my father's death and my sister's suicide here; I got myself an Associate Degree in math and science and a Bachelors of Arts in music with piano performance emphasis. For the last twenty two years I have been married to my husband Paul, a software engineer at Lokheed Martin here in Santa Barbara. We own a sailboat with a slip in the Santa Barbara Marina, and are planning to make good use of that boat. Destination: The Falkland Islands.
I am a scout for both my husband and I; I have been a scout for both of us for two dacades. I hope my message is read with inner warmth and understanding, and I hope that I get a chance to find inner peace in a beautiful community like the Falkland Isles. If I can start work and go ahead of my husband,(the job does not have to be in my own field), I will make myself available by October 10, 2006.
