America only What field do you currently work in? I work LTAC, Psych. Med- Surg. What fields have you worked in before? LTAC, Psych. Med- Surg.,ER, ICU, Home Health. Endoscopy and recovery room and nursing home. What qualifications do you hold? ACLS, BLS Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both the more education you have the better to recognize sign/symptoms in patients and the more skills you have theit is easier to dor procedures with very little difficulty. Examples..start IV'S,draw blood, insertion of catheters and NG tubes. Describe the benefits of working with others Benefits is when people get along and work as a team... then they can learn from each other and help each other out when things get hectic.Also is is always to have a friend to work with..for support. Describe the benefits of working alone Quiet, peacful...easy to concentrate and stay focused and get things done. What was your worst working experience? When agency sent me to a place where othe nurses did not want me there because i was older and had more experience...they were very rude and ugly to me.They made me feel very unwelcomed. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Believe in yourself. Stay calm during emergencies and when it is hectic.Be nice and respectful to everyone. What unique skills do you have? Good at assessing patients, starting IV'S, drawing blood. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? 8 hour day job where everybody was nice and worked well together. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? You are always learning. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I do not know. I love nursing..I think is one of the most respected careers anybody could get into.
